Meet Lynn Gant
I’m Lynn Gant — a Kansas City native, retired I.T. supervisor, Marine Corps veteran, and lifelong artist. I began drawing at the age of 8 and painting at the age of 14. After 25 years of public service with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, I am fortunate to be able to return to the thing I love: painting.
Most of my art is an attempt to capture and reflect God’s beauty in creation. I call myself a “casual artist,” because there is no urgency in my approach to painting. My art tells me when it’s finished, therefore I have no deadlines. To me, art is about sincerity, and being true to one’s self. I try to put a piece of myself into everything I create.
I studied art formally at Penn Valley Community College and UMKC (Class of ’86). Whether you're here to explore or shop, I hope my work brings a bit of joy, curiosity, and connection to your day.
